I make minimum wage as a parking lot security guard and do not add a cent into the MAGA war chest.  When you make as little money as I do, you’re allowed a personal income tax withholding rate of zero (for now). Except, I look around at what’s happening to our country and still feel stressed as hell. I can’t imagine how you who actually foot the bill for these daily atrocities feel. Unless you simply ignore you’re the reason for the ongoing carnage and suffering.

On Saturday, June 14th, 2025, five million Americans protested Donald Trump and his MAGA-majority government, an oppressive regime representing oligarchs and degenerate billionaires.

On Sunday, everybody patted themselves on the back and rested.

On Monday, proud citizens went back to work, many of whom in upper middle-class roles that overwhelmingly provide the personal income tax revenue that funds the MAGA-majority government.

Within a week of “No Kings,” Donald Trump authorized a military strike on Iran that didn’t damage its nuclear weapons program, but certainly courted more Middle East conflict. He did so without the consent of Congress. Daily atrocities continue unabated.  

Whoops! Protests only work in a democracy. This is fascism.

The protests play into the plan for a police state. Fascists need protests to batten down the hatches. Did you catch what happened in Los Angeles? 

I’m not a fan of the No Kings rallies (but I respect the effort) because they do nothing to actually disrupt the MAGA-majority government’s ability to commit atrocities (such as ICE kidnappings, scientist ousting, forced pregnancies, exacerbation of climate change, and so much more). The reason this presidency feels like a kingdom (the plague and torture kind, not the fun or magical kind) is because we don’t have any rights for the 21st century. Kamala would have been king-ish, too, but we know her to be more benevolent so we might not have cared. MAGA would have lost its brainwashed mind, and raged against its own best interest.  However, if our Constitution and Bill of Rights were strong by modern standards, picking a president wouldn’t matter nearly as much. One man or woman wouldn’t be able to change the whole flavor of the country.

How do we get a progressive country that is future-focused and not corruptible if an objective buffoon is temporarily at the helm? First, a brief history lesson.

The founders instructed us to update our Constitution every 19 years, not jerk off to it for 250. They did this for a reason. There was no way they could accurately predict future challenges and opportunities. In revolutionary times, money didn’t float around in cyberspace as digital currencies. Rich people didn’t accrue wealth from AI or robotic automation. They made money from their slaves, DUH. Then 70-some years later we fixed that shit. Sort of. Now, we are oversaturated in technology that is both helpful and harmful, determined by the way it is used. Suffering from the effects of technology is also why “Make America Great Again” appealed to so many everyday Americans who think there’s a solution that is backward compatible with a time their lives were easier. No such solution exists in the past. Hence, the founders handed down the responsibility of updating the Constitution every generation.   

Currently, unfathomably rich people use technology to bore into the guts of the Earth and damage natural resources beyond what is repairable or replenishable. The atmosphere grows thick with toxic refuse that traps and prevents solar rays from bouncing back into space, same as the runaway greenhouse effect on Venus. Children are ingesting plastic and living with it in their bodies. We are – and humanity is – going to die. Rich people will die, too, but they’ll build underground bunkers, enormous shade structures, maybe cloud cities (not even kidding, it’s a thing), and will try everything possible to buy their way out of this very real doomsday. Everybody is circling the drain, but some people are farther from the drop.

Oh… my upper middle-class liberals. My hashtag resisters. My share button activists. My weekend-only protesters. The greatest lie the devil ever told is that you can participate in late stage capitalism, all its climate changing behavior, and be on the side of freedom. You’ve been bamboozled by the idea of chasing “success” and acquiring “wealth.” Here’s the real gospel: It’s not MA and PA MAGA funding atrocities and enriching degenerate billionaires… it’s YOU!!!

You’re paying the ICE bonuses to masked bounty hunters lurking outside immigration courts.  You’re paying to prevent that impoverished woman’s medically necessary abortion. You’re the financial backing behind government contracts awarded to degenerate billionaires.  

Personal income tax is fifty percent of federal revenue. A protest without a national strike is toothless. If you actually care – if your core values don’t stop at the first inconvenience – you’re going to have to do some creative 1776 shit with the rest of us. If you wait, who knows how far back we’ll be. Who knows how much longer articles like this one will be allowed online. MAGA is an American problem with planet destroying consequences. Forbes says 902 degenerate billionaires live in the United States, with a combined net worth of $6.8 trillion. Most degenerate billionaires don’t pay taxes, but you do!    

If you’re a high income professional, I assure you that the population respects and values your skills and contributions. Society needs its engineers, doctors, lawyers, and, uh, web 5.0 developers (or whatever the fuck), but before you can continue leveraging your knowledge to gain more personal and financial fulfillment, you need to participate in (1) completely divesting funds and resources from the MAGA-majority government and its planet-killing degenerate billionaires, and (2) raising the social safety net for everyday Americans by about a thousand miles (even for MA and PA MAGA). I work with homeless people every day, and can tell you the current social safety net is lying on the ground. You live on this planet, too, so I don’t need to tell you about the worsening weather phenomenons year after year.

It’s almost like the choices are “stop going to your 8 to 5 job” or “collapse Earth’s entire ecosystem,” and we’ve been choosing an online circle jerk.

I’m going to define our goals as such:

(1) No more billionaires

(2) Codify new climate rights and income rights

I’m going to explain how we meet our goals:

(1) National strike

(2) Constitutional Convention

Our objective isn’t to “overthrow the government” or be treasonous in any way.  Our founders left us an array of tools for which we now use to negotiate with representatives who no longer represent us. Our loyalty remains squarely on the Constitution, which is why we are going to fortify it with new rights for the modern era. Fascism is coalescing around an American president willing to leverage the power of the oval office for personal fortune and wish fulfillment, and we can’t defeat fascism without doing some creative 1776 shit, but, when we’re done, Trump will still be president through the remainder of his term.

Immediately start stocking up on bottled water, canned goods, medicine, batteries, candles, and whatever else you’re going to need to ruin your own life for four to six months. Be prepared to take care of neighbors and engage with your community. I see a lot of golf courses that can be dug up to plant food if the national strike goes on that long. Dig wells. You’re not going to lose your house, your car, your utilities, or whatever you’re worried about when we all stop working and paying en masse. Remember, if I don’t pay rent, it’s my problem. If nobody pays rent, it’s my landlord’s problem. On the other side of rising up, the degenerate billionaires are going to make you whole. The degenerate billionaires are going to make everybody whole. When they aren’t degenerate billionaires anymore, society will be whole. Remember, that’s our money! Our combined labor created it, but perversions in the capitalist system routed and deposited it into the hands of a few. These few need you sitting at your desk 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to maintain their biblically offensive amount of wealth. They’ve rallied behind and installed Trump to carry out their agenda and consolidate power. The only thing that can stop them is a national strike, a jump all of us have to take together.

For the sake of your country, planet, and posterity: 

HOLY FUCK! STOP GOING TO YOUR STUPID JOBS!

A national strike accomplishes two things. Striking immediately unfunds the MAGA-majority government and weakens the influence of degenerate billionaires. Striking immediately withdraws our consent to being governed through executive orders, extortion, fear, propaganda, and threats. Rug pull the money, deny Trump his mafia strongman reputation.

Once we’re on strike, and figuring out how to continue the strike in perpetuity, the states will need to engage the process of calling a Constitutional Convention. Obviously, citizens with a MAGA-mindset will continue going to work and may even become hostile to our movement. It won’t matter! The MAGA-majority government needs upper middle-class liberals who fund it through personal income taxes more than it needs its own supporters who contribute far less.

At the Constitutional Convention, new rights in regard to climate and income will be codified so that no president or Congress can act against what is in the best interest of a Goldilocks planet meant to support life and life systems, or take any action that could lead to a single person or corporation amassing a billion dollars in discretionary assets. That amount of wealth outside of the common good is incompatible with the safe, peaceful, healthy, progressive development of citizens of America and the world. With the advent of AI and robotic automation, every American deserves a home and a universal basic income commensurate with a dignified quality of life, regardless of education, skillset, political affiliation, race, sex, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, language, or any other arbitrary marker.

After the Constitutional Convention is closed, and we are protected with strong new rights for the 21^st century, the current MAGA-majority government and President Trump can resume governing the country within the boundaries of our now modernized Constitution. You can go back to your stupid job, and be as successful as you want. You can rest easy knowing your personal income tax no longer funds atrocities or enriches degenerate billionaires whose greed threatens the very existence of Earth as a planet hospitable to life. The harder you work, the better off you will leave yourself, your country, and the world. Even MA and PA MAGA.

This is the moment.
