Welcome to the new SpectacularMisfits.com website. Last week, we launched the new @SpectacularMisfits YouTube Page which is where you will watch our new podcast episodes.

Both the WordPress and YouTube are collaborative in that myself, Arlen, Byron, and Shim Sham can all post independently of each other. The time was ripe to move off of my personal page, Bestifyoudont.com, even though starting over can feel like a step backwards.

For one thing, why the fuck is the site a different color on mobile? Oh, wait. That’s probably because my Firefox Browser on Android is set to dark-mode. Ugh. That was an hour of my life spent drinking, cursing, and reviewing settings. Building websites can be a special trip through hell, but I knew Arlen and Shim Sham were writing articles and I wanted you to have a comfortable place to read them. I hope Byron turns some of his cascading Bluesky replies into larger blogs.

Why do we endeavor? Well, these are not normal times. An alarming number of qualified scientists are in agreement that we’ve blown past the most punishing deadlines to do anything about climate change. Innocent people in vulnerable regions are already dying collapse-related deaths. While world leaders should be on TV and the Internet around the clock, explaining how each nation’s personal vehicle buyback program will work and where to sign up for the necessary green jobs that will create a new sustainable global infrastructure… they’re not. In fact, degenerate billionaires have somehow convinced hordes of followers that living wages, healthcare, and a habitable biome somehow equal evil socialism.

We’re in the “Why Didn’t Anybody Do Anything” twilight of humankind.

And while writing articles and recording a podcast don’t qualify as the “Do Anything” event that meets the moment, a sustained general strike against government corruption has to start somewhere.

Maybe a meeting place for misfits.
